The Motion Education Design (MODE) Summit is a gathering of design educators who specialize, research and teach in the area of motion design. We see this event of particular interest and relevance to graphic design, visual communication design, typography, cinema, theater, animation and storytelling. Together we will address the growing field of motion design and the need for scholarly driven literature and examples to support and challenge educators.

The University of Notre Dame, The Ohio State University, Kent State University and Michigan State University jointly present the 2nd MODE Summit. This international event brings together motion design educators from different areas of expertise to present work and discuss motion and how it enhances, effects, changes messages, meaning, and communication. The conference took place in Dublin, Ireland, 03–05 June 2015 at the O’Connell House, the Science Gallery at Trinity College, the Hibernian Gallery and the Royal Irish Academy.
